Of all the Hawaiian Islands, The Big Island has a distinct energy as new land is born each day as the lava flows into the sea. Activities are endless and include surfing lessons, sailing, sport fishing, swimming with Dolphins at Dolphin Quest located at the Hilton Waikoloa Beach Resort. Mauna Kea Summit and Starts Adventures, Horseback riding along side Pele’s Footsteps, championship golf, spas, tennis, The Ironman Triathlon in October, and visiting the many historical and archeological sites on the island. Of special interest: You may note that the streetlights on the Big Island have an unusual orange glow. That is because they have been converted to a low –spectrum light so that the astronomers atop Mauna Kea will have the best viewing conditions.
