Lake Tahoe attracts people who actively enjoy the great outdoors from rollerblading and hiking to whitewater adventures and ballooning. It also offers slice of history with Carson City, Nevada (of Ponderosa fame) just off the lake Highway #89. There are boulder-clad beaches with sparkling clear, but frigid lake water for brave hearted swimmers. On the north side of the lake is Truckee, a small town with local charm. On the southeast side of the lake are the casinos and the closest thing to a city you will find nearby. To the Southwest side of the lake are condos and hotels that have lake front beaches. This is where you can pick up Balloons on the lake and other tours. The views are spectacular from every angle, so we recommend making the entire way around the lake if you have time. There are some spectacular lake front homes, panoramic lake views that will make your heart skip a beat. There is something for everyone including, Golf, Fishing, horseback riding. Rock climbing, biking and aerial tours.
