In a time of heightened uncertainly about foreign energy sources,
Vail Resorts made an announcement on August 1st, 2006 that it has converted all it’s ski resorts, hotels and facilities to 100% wind power, making
it the second largest U.S. company to convert to renewable energy. The impact of the initiative is equivalent to removing 18,000 cars off the roadways.
To promote the initiative Vail is offering a FREE one-day lift ticket for any household that signs up for a one-year wind power service contract.

Orlando, Florida is gearing up to launch a major PR campaign to boost tourism. The reason? Hotel occupancy has dropped 4.8%. The reason sited is that vacationers search for more rest and relaxation. The report goes on to say that while Hotel occupancy has dropped, Condo and timeshare usage is on the rise.
BREAKING NEWS: ORLANDO, Fla. -- According to Local6.com the Four Seasons Hotel Chain has inked a deal with Disney World in Orlando Florida to build a major Orlando resort complex which will inlcude Disney World vacation homes, time-share units, a golf course and a hotel. In order to build the single famly homes they actually have to de-annex that section of property to give it back to Orange County. Disney developer Matt Kelly is quoted "We know we have guests who come to our property that travel that corridor that are looking for places to stay in the value category." The property will include 4,000 to 5,000 hotel rooms, catering to low- and mid-budget travelers and 500 square feet of commercial space for shopping, dinning and entertainment.
