Hilo Vacation Rentals
To stroll through downtown Hilo is like taking a walk into the past. In many ways it has the look of an old port town from a 1930's and 1940's movie set. HIlo was once home to a bustling sugar cane industry but Since the 1990's Hilo's most famous crop is cut flowers and macadamia nuts. Let's get one thing straight, Hilo is on the rainy side of the island getting over 10 feet of rain a year. Thankfully over 80% of the rain falls at night and therefore does not interfere with daytme activities.
