Catalina Island Vacation Rentals
Catalina Island is a channel island 22 miles off shore from San Pedro California, first made famous by William Wrigley, Jr., of chewing gum fame. It still maintains its many charms from the 1920’s largely due to the fact that cars are not permitted and therefore the fresh air, rugged open spaces and healthy ocean environment remain intact. Avalon, the island’s only town boosts only 3000 inhabitants. Transportation is by golf cart and hiking and biking are by permit only. Beyond Avalon is Two Harbors, the islands other main tourist attraction. Stay for longer than a day at a Catalina vacation rental and you will find solitude rarely found in California.
