Malibu Vacation Rentals
The main attraction in Malibu are its beaches, made famous by the Gidget movies in the 1960’s revealing one of California’s then best kept secrets. The beaches, offering some of the best surfing in California, stretch for more than 20 miles along the Pacific Coast Highway and are still very clean. Be sure to arrive by11 am during the summer or to stay past 4 pm. If your Malibu vacation rental is close by, plan to bring some wine and cheese for the gorgeous sunsets and avoid the crowds. Fall, spring and winter are great months and less crowded with the exception of whale watching season. Since Malibu is short on inexpensive places to stay, you’ll find the greatest value by renting a Malibu vacation home or Malibu beach house. If you are lucky you may just catch the original Gidget surfing at the age of 65 years young.
